Hi All, I'm aware that a 2.0L tall block conversation can cause the stock 8V manifold to foul on the bulkhead, so I was wondering, what manifolds have people gone for to get around this issue? I know TSR Performance used to make a specific manifold, but I can't see it on their website anymore. Thanks in advance!
It would be worth giving TSR a call. I spoke with them the other day and they were very helpful. If they don't have one they must know where to get something suitable.
On a tall block 16v 2.0L conversion you used to be able to buy a spacer plate and extended studs to fit between the manifold and downpipe from TSR iirc or you can fit the 8v downpipe instead.
use stock 8v manifold and downpipe and you'll be fine. loads of clearance and it flows plenty well enough no need to mess about with 4 branch
Thanks Phil, I gave them a ring earlier on but they are only doing manifolds for the ABF conversions now
I used the Miltek/TSR 1.8 mani on my 2.0 conversion, it was a bloody tight fit, took a bit of "massaging" to get it to work. I dropped the rear engine mount a touch, and shimmed up the front a shave too. But probably would just use a stock twin runner downpipe if I was doing it again.
