It’s a strut bolt out of an R53 mini that a friend snapped. He and others were adamant it needed a new hub.
Last time I used one of those was on one of those annoying disk locator grub screws and it snapped. Obviously need to improve my skills !
Ahhh, see with them, it’s all about shock. Give them a good whack before attempting it and they come right off. If it’s already snapped, drill that sucker right through the hub flange, work up to tapping size and it’ll just fall out as you start tapping. Or weld a nut to whatever is left. Like this I love a good bolt removal. I love the thrill
I was only thinking of this last night, when doing some preventative maintenance on the rally car last night. One of the axle bracket bolts had a rounded head, I tried one of these https://ige.ie/dr-shallow-bolt-extr...aXgbfX9lReqopLvq9bIzBb8cPYoWmCJRoCT-gQAvD_BwE On it, and to my shock, out it came.
