That is unlucky RJ. Maybe consider an 8v next time, as they are lighter and nimble cars. More likely to stop quicker or steer away from the other car.
[:^(] Atleast everything engine wise is intact so you can just swap it. Similar thing happened to one of my mk2s a while back, the whole front pulled straight in the end. I think the panel gaps ended up better than they were before
vaux looked fine, just some scuffs and a fog light needed. though i bet behind the plastics the irons will need replacing, you know these modern cars and their strange bumpers!
