Is it possible to swap a Toyota Supra Engine into an MK2 Golf?

Hey there! I just bought my first car, and its an Mk2 Golf GTI Wolfsburg edition. I am planning on doing an engine swap, and want to have the fastest / most efficient swap I can possibly do. I have been considering doing the 16v swap, or even an Aba swap with a 16v head. My friend (Japanese owner said that you could do a K-swap into them, but I'm not a big Honda fan. So then my mechanic was talking about swapping a supra engine into some other car. Has anyone successfully swapped a supra engine into a mk2 Golf? How much work did it take, and how much did it cost? Thanks for the help!

fastest and most efficient swap you can do and you are asking if a straight 6 rwd conversion can be done - yes of course anything is possible but its hardly going to be straightforward - maybe a joke?

Why would you? How much do you think it will cost, who is going to do the fab work, the list is endless! What experience have you got? What rear axle setup would you use, how are you going to get it mot'ed?
It goes on and on, trust me I know!

Chop shop put a Subaru boxer into a mk2 golf. In the end it wasn't a mk2 golf anymore. It looked like the car that Homer Simpson built but worse. Most bang for your buck = 20vt. Common i know but for a reason. If your going jap and down the extreme route then it's got to be the RB26 engine skyline GTR. good luck!

So with all of this in mind, what is the most efficient way to make my car better, without having to do a LOT of customizing?

I've been told its plug-and-play with an mk2 if you have the 16v ECU..Is that true?
