Sorry for my bad english. Hello, today i broke my 02A gearbox from original ABF. I want to change with this from 1.8mi. What i need for the swap. ? I need to change all pedals or i can only clutch pedal to change ? My clutch fit in 1.8mi gearbox ? What it's the code on gearbox from 1.8mi ?
mk3 02A from a golf mk3 has a hydraulic system with slave cylinder on gearbox if your after a 1.8 system, then a 020 box or 2y box from a mk2 16v gti SEAT Toledo, Cordoba and Ibiza ABF have a cable change 02A box
Don't want to more 02A gearbox. Now i need to search for 020 gearbox, okey. But i need the all pedals(clutch,brake and gas) ? with shift mechanism from 020 box all to shift knob ? My clutch from 02A will fit on 020 gearbox or i need the 020 clutch ?
yeah, for 020 you'll need a different flywheel and clutch, and there is 2 sizes to worry about 8 or 16v . also you'll be going from cable change to rod change so you'll need the rod shifter system
Ok so you need the gearstick and all of the linkages and the front, rear & gearbox brackets from a MK3 1.8-2.0 8v, to convert the pedal box all you need is a clutch cable as the main pedal box is the same for all models
