I no I’ve seen that picture earlier but thought there must be an alternative or replacement as it’s an essential part required to make the car run seems daft they don’t make it any more...

Can you rig something up using a suitable fuel hose, I think it can be done, I'm pretty sure someone else was asking about this part recently as well.

    What does it do exactly?

Ah it's the little rubber piece that is enclosed in a metal cylinder. Mine was perished when I removed my old pump so couldn't reuse it. I simply replaced it with some new fuel hose and clips.

It’s not the metal piece mentioned as that is for the 4 pin sender, they are available as I was gonna purchase one and use that but they are about 45-50 squid. Will probably try and use a piece of hose as they fuel safe and won’t flex and go all squishy like my last rubber grommet did...

ah missed it was for a ce1 version, its 191919131 on those but still NLA and you can still replace it with std fuel hose :)

Looks like a minutely telescopic bit? Maybe to help assembly? And as a result, not required, as the Guru (aka RubJonny) said.
Or could it be a non return valve?

its just a hollow tube, only reason for the funny design with metal bit is as I say its a hose reducer

Many thanks guys it would appear that the part is now obsolete and i will have to indeed meticulously fabricate a piece of hose to go in there, any ideas on what size is required???
    Blessings in advance x

    Meticulously?
I'd say chop a bit of fuel safe hose a few inches long, 2 small hose clips and done.
Hose is more than likely 6mm or 8mm. Probably 8mm.

RJ already answered this for you "its just a reducer hose, normal fuel line can be used. part no is 357919133"
