Hi. So my engine is 1.8t code: BAM, block 06A, 2004y. So the rods I need 144x19 or 144x20 ? If I understand corect, I need 144x20 but I'm not 100% sure (I read this here: https://performancebyie.com/blogs/i...-1-8t-1997-2005-engine-block-right-first-time ) By the way, I want use IE rods with my stocks BAM pistons, it is fit together correct?
You need 144x20 for the bam pistons as they have the bigger wrist pin, the aum etc engines have a 19mm wrist pin
Are you sure that is fit together with stock BAM pistons ? Because some engines have tapered rods.. So this: https://performancebyie.com/collect...s/products/ie-rods-144x20-vw-audi-18t-20t-fsi work fine with my stock BAM pistons, yes?
I’ve heard people complain about heads lifting at like 500+ bhp so they use head studs but otherwise I wouldn’t bother. Unless you plan on taking it apart a lot, it’s not worth it imo
