Not started the Mk2 Golf for past few weeks and today after reconnecting the battery, the siren started making constant clicking noise and led light stays orange. I’m unable to start even after trying various button options on the key fob. The fuel pump is priming, so think this is an imobilser issue. I’ve replaced the car battery but still same issue. Is there a internal battery on Toad AI606 alarms? Any ideas in how to fix or know of a car security forum? Thanks
have a good look under the dash for any random fuse holders connected to the alarm wiring, fingers crossed its that simple. if not you may have to remove it, not too hard to do its a case of chase all the wires from the brain and chop it all out, then reconnect any cut wires matching the colour/gauge and taping up any bare copper
