Hi all, I was mulling over my 16 years of VW ownership and was thinking I'd try and trace some of the better ones I've had and see if they are still around or have gone to the big Dub Dude in the sky. Maybe a suggestion for a new forum Mods, if I have posted in the wrong place please move it. Here are a few 1987 16v GTI Red D595 TUJ (my first car and was 3 years old when I bought it in 1990, was one of the first Demo's in the UK and was used in Cars and Car conversions in Aug 1987 but was registered as D579 XNV originally IIRC, in a shootout against a GTI Engineering RE1900 8v GTI 1985 year I think Atlas Grey one, the GTI Eng one won, if anyones interested and if anyone has a the mag Ill buy it or get a copy) 1983 White MK1 GTI reg ROK 444Y (nice origianl car except was running on 3 when I sold it and some scrote bashed 3 panels with a brick but was in good order) !983 Helios Blue MK1 Campaign 1.8 GTI reg A838 HFJ (wow what a car, totally standard exterior and interior but discs all round, eibach roll bars front and rear, upper lower strut braces, audi warm up and throttle, 4 branch, jetex 2.5 inch system, KN, koni shocks and springs lowered about 40mm, mint car sold in 1999 to fund a family and wish I hadn't was a minter but had 225,000 on the clock, I want it back) 1987 Golf Cab Burgundy 1.8 GTI reg D322 CRW (lovely standard cabriolet sold to a woman who said she was driving around the continent wondered if it made it?) id love to trace some of my old vw's back... but i doubt id ever know exactly which can was jolfa (or any of my old cars for that matter)

Hi! I know this is an old thread and unlikely for a reply but I have one of them cars! With a full mot getting daily use! Reg d322crw! The 1987 cabby! Great car!
You are kidding me!! I sold it to a lady that said she was taking it to Spain, I have the original pictures of the Ad I bought it from local to me and when I had it, I didn't drive it a lot as I had a white MK1 as above at the time. It was a good solid original car back then in around I think 2001 when I bought it. Never thought I would hear of it again, do you have any current pictures???
