My exhaust which was in the back, some brake calipers, luckily not the ones for the car and some other bits and bobs, I think my headlights too. Didn’t take the door trims or perfect roof gutters luckily.
Pretty much, luckily they didn’t take the roof gutters, took a few other random but not cheap and golf specific bits.
I don't tend to wish violent death on many people but I do hope that all thieves meet a slow and painful end. Keep an eye on marketplace/gumtree/shpock etc, won't be long before they try to fence off your stuff.
Well today has been the first day I’ve dragged myself to the Golf after being pretty deflated about things. The only thing missing was the exhaust, everything else had just been thrown around. So I emptied it out, tidied everything up and feel a bit more positive about things.
Well nothing has changed… except buying one of them big brick things is taking up time, it also means the Golf will have a home as of April. I thought i need to just get it on the road, soooo… I took the engine out… Logical right?
Just to get it running and in the aid of speed, I’ve got a complete engine with k03s just to drop into the hole. So no need to faff with oil lines etc etc. I’m getting pressured to move it and looking at it, that was the quickest way.
Well.. it moves to its new and final home on the 26th. So to celebrate… I got it some wheels. Now to find me some semi slicks.
Got some cheap sticky bois fitted, tomorrow I’m loading it onto the trailer and moving it to my own house.. For the first time in my ownership. Ready for Retro rides on the 15th?

Well seeing as it’s now at home and I can “just pop out and have a tinker” Today I got the new handles that have been in the disco for months and mated them to their OG VW key. A nice little evening job.
