    That is amazing!!

Don't tell me they're the only 2 awards you've won?!

    Any magazines approached you yet??

oh, and what wheels are they?? Did you polish them yourself? What are you using to finish them?

And finally, is that enough questions for now??

That is one of the few cars that needs nothing to be perfect, because it's already there. Simplicity conquers !

The guy I bought it from did most of the build work. Since I got it I have put a new steering rack in it, replaced CV joints, brakes and had the suspension properly set up. I have re-wired the car as it was in a bit of state and nothing worked properly. By the looks of the rear harness it almost caught fire at one point as the uninsulated battery cable had touched the floor pan. I also put in an mph speedo, coolant gauge, RHD headlights and a hidden windscreen wash system that I needed for MOT.

To be honest I hadn't bargained on doing that much work on such a car but hey I like a proper job. I only finished it the Saturday morning of VW Action (the day before E38). Also the facts in the Golf+ are not 100% accurate, but I think they just make up what they don't know or can't be arsed finding out. I hear of similar stories from others too. I only read the proper VW mags anyway.

The green one inthe background is not Viper Green but Cliff Green. I am in the process of a rebuild for next year so keep your eyes open! :)

Thanks guys for all the kind comments so far!

Edit: Yes, its Audi TT leather! Wheels are 16" Compomotive TH. The wheels were semi-polished when I got them, but I buffed them up with Autosol and a machine polisher.
