I have a perfectly good box until I go backwards clack clack clack broken tooth on reveser idler.i have striped a few boxes in my time and fancy having a go at this one got a guy who can make the surport and splitter just need to know the measurements.
I usually strip an 020 without tools (except: cam idler stud/nut and bit of steel for O/P shafts), although I have done quite a few, so know where to hit with the nylon mallet. 02A's not so easy... Jon
Have a look for Brokes 020 website, he has a trick using the little 5th gear on top of the input shaft and using the top casing to press the gearbox apart.
The upper input shaft/bearing can be tapped down with a plastic dead blow hammer whilst lifting the case up, no need for a splitter.
