Hello i want to use this alternator mount on my 16v for upgrating to poly v but i am not sure if it is possible to use it with mechanical power steering pump. Can someone confirm it? if it is possible do you know if normal abf power steering pump mount fit with it? or if not which one can be used? BR
yes simply use the matching mk3 golf pas brackets, pump and pulleys. the mk2 pas pump will bolt into the mk3 brackets but the pulley offset is too low due to the thicker alternator belt. if you have a 90spec 16v with the dished pas pulley its possible that may line up or you could just make a spacer I guess. unless the mk2 pump is quite new though I wouldnt bother just get a mk3 pump
