Can anyone please confirm the part numbers for the input shaft seals on an 02r gearbox please. I couldnt find them so went with the 02j part numbers but having put it all back together its started leaking from the double lip seal! It doesnt seem to be a tight enough fit on the shaft for some reason.

    Part numbers i have are
    085311113
    N90354301

    Many thanks

    Adam

they seem to match up to some of the polo 02R boxes, can you confirm what age/make your car is and what box?

Thanks for the reply RJ, its actually my mk1 agu conversion with an 02r box. The other thing i was looking at last night was that the clutch release bearing sleeve starts pt no 02a(cant remember the full number right now) so wondered if this is correct? Also the outer ring seal that came off seemed larger and was black where as the new one is orange and a smaller diameter.

    Cheers

also see if there are any part numbers visible on your bellhousing casing and I'll see what I can dig up for it...

well unfortunatly both the seal part numbers do seem to match up to your box, one thing though I cant find your sleeve part number in etka but it may be its too old to be shown in parts supersession. what ETKA says is 02A141180A which is same one as fitted to 02a/j type boxes.

think you need to have a word with hotgolf/martin emment, he will know what the dealio is! all your parts were genuine VW right?

Ok, so the clutch bearing sleeve plate should have a bonded seal on it. So i have ordered a whole new sleeve.

One last question, should the other seal part number be fitted on it too? The double lip seal comes ready fitted in the new sleeve, along with the bonded seal. Does etka show the other seal placed on the sleeve too between the bonded seal and the lip?

    Many thanks
