have a looky here on my ftp: http://vwtech.no-ip.info/downloads/ if its not there let me know engine code and i'll get a pdf for you out of elsawin
Did you use this belt in the end Ian? I need to remove the air con pump and fit the VR6 PAS pump and need a belt for it all
Thats what I have but its not bolted upto the engine yet. The tensioner was just 20 with CGTI discount from GSF
Good stuff. My engine is a standard 24V 4Motion so already has the bracket & tensioner. Just need the belt All i have to fit is the VR6 PAS pump
Just found a handy little bolt hole in the top of the tensioner to put an M8 bolt in. Screw it so it pushes the wheel round and you are able to put the belt on & off Good design!
Did you manage to find a part no for the pulley? 038 145 255A is the p/n for the pump itself but so far I've not been able to get a number for the pulley!
that is the number for the pulley the pump is 1J0 422 154D the pulley looks to be the same as on other MK4 engine pas pumps, listed for loads o cars
Guys, are the AUE 2.8 and BDB 3.2 oil filter housings and filters the same? I'm cobbling together one working engine from the above 2 but my BDB didn't come with an oil filter housing. The AUE's housing bolts onto the 3.2 block no problem. The corn dog shaped filter I can't get my head round though. The bit inside the housing where the O ring on the filter slips into seems much bigger bore!? If that makes sense? 12Vs were so much easier. Moral of the 24V story: Get a complete engine!!!
Brand new MK5 housing, comes with all O rings, filter and filter cap, 80 inc VAT. Pretty reasonable I thought. I needn't have bothered though because it's exactly the same inside as the 4Mo one. The O ring on the end of the filter appears to have no function! Suggestions on a post card..... [/IMG]
The assembly number is different for both And you only get the part number for the housing up to 2001 It's not that clear Aaaaaaaaa
The changes are very minor but that O ring on the filter intrigues me. The only thing I can think of is it's for the dealers when they do a service. Maybe they shove the thin end of the filter onto something whilst it drains? Or it's a generic filter for many engines and that O ring has no function on the R32? Doesn't matter either way, I'm just intrigued!
Interesting reading! Is there any fuel pump and regulator combination that can be used so that mk5 injectors, rail and ecu can be kept?
