Where can I get one from for a solid lifter/rocker finger type, 'GF' (Mk1 Golf 1.3) cylinder head?

    Cheers.
    James.

You could get your one ground to a certain profile by David Newman. As far as I was aware, lumpy cams are hard to comeby for the small block motors (in this country certainly) but let us know as I'd quite like one in our mk2... [:$]

    Nice one Gary.

    Although...

VW Caddy, Derby, Golf, Golf3, Jetta, Polo, Polo G40, Vento

    (VW type 111)
    08/1983

    1043cc - HK,HW,HZ
    1272cc - PY,3F,AAL
    1297cc - AAU,ABD
    1391cc - MH,NZ,NU,ZG
    1598cc - AEU

The ones in bold text are definately hydraulic and judging by the 'follower type' given on this particular page I'm looking at which covers the engine codes above, they are all 'DTH', which is Direct Tappet Hydraulic.

These ones below are the hotter cams for the engines given just above and naturally will require a mech head/solid lifter.

My current cylinder head is of the solid lifter type with the rocker fingers, so would I be ok using these hotter cams above? maybe with stronger springs?

I could do with some info on the powerbands they offer and of course prices for each cam and the other parts I would need with them... Hope Bill reads this. [:$]

Send me an e-mail if you can supply me with some info Bill. :)

Have sent AAT and TSR an e-mail in the mean time to see what they have, thanks t_r_d.
