Great work Luke. Probably a few tips and methods there I'll use myself.

Spent all day basically cleaning the car today. Very happy with the results though. Gave the interior another wet vax treatment as the recaros were looking a bit dirty.
    And I got my RS's fitted [:D] [:D]
Didnt wind the coilovers down as much as last year. Only went down about 20mm. Maybe will still be able to drive it properly now. And be a bit more comfortable than last year too.

I tried one of the rear wheels on the front while I was at it. Because I thinking about getting some 1.5 inch dishes for the rears and swapping the 1 inch ones to the front wheels. I would probably take the extra width off of the adaptors to keep the same fitment though.

Or maybe get some 1 inch for the front and have them all round? Hmmm

Fixed my exhaust leak today. Was only leaking from the connections. Took it off and reassembled with some stronger exhaust clamps. Not going anywhere now. Not as loud and doesn't stink anymore.

And adjusted the ride height a bit. Thought it was reverse raking a bit. And it was.... 5mm. Unacceptable!

Got some new rear arches and drivers side skirt fitted. Cleaned behind them while they were off. Had to hold down a bit to stick it so out came the wood and bricks. lol

This stuff is awesome. Will stick anything!

Bumper refitted. And I got bored waiting for the glue to dry so I thought I'd clean behind the rear lights. Then I fit the 16v half smoked lights while I had them off. Will run with them a bit. But as usual I don't know which I like more.

The reason i replaced the rear arches. Wore down from the tyres rubbing them last year. And the passenger side had been scraped (Not me) lol.

I also fitted the cup holder to the votex. Had to keep saying to myself. It's only plastic, it's only plastic!

Woops. Just went out to take the wood off of the arches and noticed my rear fitment looked different. I think I accidentally fitted G60 rears.... About 8mm wider? Anyone confirm this? Kind of annoyed now since my rear fitment is off.

Maybe I will change up my wheels and fit g60 fronts too then.

Yeah, G60s are actually 8mm wider. So these are G60s. Bonus. Genuinely didn't know until I got them on. lol. So that's 2 expensive bits of plastic I chopped up today. lol
Looks like fate wants me to get wider dishes. Good thing I bought some this morning. [:D]
But going to have to get some G60 fronts now.

Had a nightmare earlier and now I'm a bit ****ed off. [:x]

Was in a rush to go out so I went outside to put my centre console back in and I accidentally put the live on the earth of the equaliser and something is ****ed now. The blowers turned on when I did it. So the live went through the equaliser. Through the din cable switched live. Through the radio and out of the switched live on that. To the fan since they use the same switched live. Sounds crackly on the speakers through the equaliser now. But sound ok with the speakers running off of the stereo. So I hope that is ok.

Then when I retried the equaliser it gave off some smells and kept popping fuses. And it had continuity between the live and earth terminals.

I found a diode between the live and earth feeds on the power circuit in the equaliser had shorted. I cut it out and it powers up again. But sounds like **** still. So ****ed off. Such a stupid mistake. Not sure if replacing that diode will fix it or if other components have had it. Just going to buy another one I think.
I really really hope that the equaliser is the only thing that broke. If the stereo has something broken in it too I am going to cry. I have tested the equaliser with another stereo and still sounds crap so time will tell I guess. Going to dread trying it. :(

All this to fit this cup holder. Equaliser is just in for show now.
