Hi. So i have a obd1 1993 vr6 running in my mk2 golf with the obd port attached . When i attach my Bluetooth obd device it connects but the software i use for my mk4 golf doesnt connect to the ecu. Does anyone know of an android app that will connect to earlier cars like mine? Thanks G
It won't work because it's not OBD2 compliant I think the cheapest way of doing it is VCDS lite on a lap top with the cheapy Ebay KKL cable I have OBD eleven dongle for Android, not sure it will work as same reason - not supporting OBD1. Ask them on their website or where ever https://obdeleven.com/en Do you have the 16 pin connector or the old 2x2?
Cheers for that gvk. I have the 16 pin connector. I mesaged obd11 earlier, lets see what they say. Failing that i will use the laptop and cable.
If you get a cheap cable, make sure it works with whatever Windows you use. There's a recent thread on here with the info.
