That's a new one for me. I've not heard of many people having any kind of sensor issue on the 2.0t. Try and get a BYD, or an Audi S3 lump, they have stronger internals.

Love the more door, it looks like a right 70's throwback. Proper sleeper if you stick some steelies on instead of those big tarty alloys.

I have been thinking about turbocharging my Mk1 ABF, just thinking theres only so far you can go with N/A.

But when you start adding up things like low comp pistons, rods, turbo, manifold's, a TFSI conversion doesn't seem to be much more expensive.

I'm surprised theres not more info available on them yet.

Any opinions on the QPENG conversion or modifying the standard ECU to run properly with all the necessary stuff deleted?

Back at it now as we speak, I went with the QPENG kit in the end, should have it in about 4 weeks.

Prepping it for a hydraulic clutch at the moment and slowly sorting out some other problems.

I'm really surprised there's not more being converted.

I reckon if some tuning company got the finger out and came up with a full set of engine mounts an intercooler/pipe kit and a downpipe they would make a killing!
