My mates 2003 1.2 Polo has a bad misfire and engine management light on. Vagcom says misfire on cylinder 3- Would it be safe to say this is a dead coil pack? and if so do the polo ones just pull out? and also was there a coil pack recall like there was on the mk4 golf?
Yes they are pull out coils, you could always swop it to another cylinder and see if the code changes. No recall on them either
