I was always told varying revs and load, but not to labour it, ie high gear low revs

50 miles of run in, oil change than cane it!

Mr H, what happens with the internal trigger wheels? Do they just break up at high revs?

oh yes - mad20V's motor was damaged by one coming loose and there are others where this has happened also - not a good idea at all on anything spinning faster than stock

They explode due to fatigue (16v vauxhall's do the same) and make a bid for freedom through the side of the block.

Well i should have been abit more specific,

Up the A1 @ 50MPH but accelerating upto 4k and back down to 3k to get the rings bedded in.

Type of Oil to run in with too is always a good topic too.

Any more opions on running would be good, i was speaking to someone who was using total seal rings and they say you have to cane it to get them bedded in !

Anyway just dropped the block off for the 83.5mm re-bore 42 plus vat. pick it up next week the new pistons are going to be 2 weeks delivery JE are made to order from Integrated engineering, they have done me a good price too.(420)

And as for the internal trigger wheel ! i'm going to leave that off and use an external 36-1 and us an EDIS Unit for the ignition.

Engine looks Clean.Thinking of lightening my own flywheel. Have lathes at work. Whats the ideal/safe weight to have them on an ABF? I assume it would have to be balance afterwards.

It is but the Cranks ****ed in this one, i have a spare standard crank and will re-build this engine when i've finished the other.

Can't remember from memory how light for the flywheel but you can have the weight.

Update - Just waiting for everything delivering now.

But i have also been getting everthing together for the injetion & ignition.

Now have everything detailed below, except i'm using Microsquirt not the DTA Shown.

Sent all the kit off for the wiring loom to be made up and base MAP put on. If funds allow may even go straight for 45mm DTH Jenvey's got a price of Badger but due to crank purchase run out of pocket money.
