    Hi folks,

Car is going on the road end of the month and looking to see where is the cheapest insurer..

Anyone from an insurance company or from Northern Ireland advise me where would give me a cheap quote?

Cheapest so far is Elephant with 500

The likes of Flux, Brentacre etc won't touch me because I'm under 25 or because I live in Northern Ireland.

    Thanks in advance :)

    Yeah mate, it's a torture!
Next year seems to drop to less than 400 so something to look forward to :)

Have you tried a quote with your mum or dad as a named driver can make a big difference to price we did this for our daughter! Having an experienced older driver on your insurance helps, but the insurance must remain in your name though

Thanks for your reply Benny, 500 is the best I can get with Dad as a named driver. Not too bad though I guess :)

Just to update you guys, got a multicar policy with Admiral with the Mk4 also, 4k limited mile policy on the Mk2 worked out to 315 for the year! Very happy!

gotta be a multicar man! FYI for others reference I'm 22 and have a multicar with Aviva, (5 years no claims) i insure my mk6 TDI, my Mrs mk6 TDI and my mk2 16V for 1000 all in all mods included (lightly modded mk6 and usual stuff on mk2). The company gave my Mrs and my mk2 33% discount and my 5 years no claims discount. Mileage is 40k on the mk6s and 1k on the mk2 (only a second car)
Think overall this is a decent price and is definitely worth a look to insure a second car. Although for perspective my dad insures his CLS, F type and my mums mk7 gti pp for 540 per year!!! Insurance is such a rob

For sure mate! Multicar was a life saver! I'll have to see what Admiral try and charge me next year! That's a top price for 3 cars. All in for me is working out to be 850 for my MK4 TDI and my valver, with 1 year no claims on both. It's hard going to get it cheap - thankfully getting older does have some perks!
