    Hi all,

I’m currently doing a an AGG bottom end conversion on a PB engine.

I’m struggling to work out what pulleys I should use for the alternator and water pump. I want to mount the alternator off the head like it is on the PB.

Can I use the V-belt crank pulley and water pump pulley from my PB block? I am slightly concerned because the PB pulley is a fair bit heavier than the pulley off the AGG engine. Will that upset the balance of the crank?

The car doesn’t have air conditioning or PAS so it is just the pump and alternator to run.

Any advice from what others have done would be much appreciated. Cheers!

I did an AGG bottom end on mine and reused the pb pulleys. The heavy pulley isn't a problem, it's actually a harmonic damper.

That’s great news (especially given I’ve just refurbished a the pulleys) - cheers! Did the PB pulley fit/line up with the threads on the crank sprocket okay?

The pulley isn't threaded, it is held on by 4 m8 bolts.
Same bolt spacing on the 1.8 and 2.0.
