this happened to me, but allot worse in the same place, got a panel beater who got it 97% straight and only needed the smallest amount of filler to bring back to former glory. happened after 1 month of driving my 84 mk2 vr6. hope you get it sorted soon
Got him back today, apart from the engine now being completely grey/primer dust coloured I am really chuffed with the finish and especially the colour match, no need for blending into the adjacent panels
Omg that is a beautifully clean and original car. Always did like those teardrop alloys too. Glad the repair was so well executed. Gurds
I think the bottle tops would set it off IMO.... always had a soft spot for them I think they were small bumper 16v only so may not be in keeping
Thanks peeps, as with things they were back then, could have easily bought an 8v speced with bottletops from the stealer.. I have some nos steelies in boxes for oemness
I find myself in the strange position of not being able to find anything to spend my money on with V ... Probably blow the engine now I said that....still needs an occasional treat. So this came in the post today OE blaupunkt....dare I say r a r e ??? And for those who haven't figured it out, fitted. Well chuffed, the led even flashes ...
