I’ve got my self a 4 pin tacho from an early 1.6d and what to fit it to my 1.9d mk2. I know it needs + - and w terminals but don’t know about the 4th and don’t know what order. There wiring is completely independent of the rest of the clocks.

right I see so its literally the tacho taken out of a set of mk2 diesel clocks, might be tricky to track down what pin does what unfortunatly. do you have the original dash cluster it came from? if not may have to strip it apart and chase the 4 pins inside the circuit board and try and work it out that way
