You spent a few quid on shite to get 3 seconds a lap faster than me - so my extra shite will knock a further 2 seconds off your time

1/4 mile time is very hard on the car's clutch & transmission, so I know GVK tends to avoid them. Whereas tubs likes breaking things

I got 15.6 (with a DFQ box which is loooong ratio'ed) and Tub got 15.3 (WITH SLICKS) IIRC, As Prof says, I seem to have gearbox probs after I visit the 1/4 mile so thats one test I can do without .

I got 16.56s with a stock KR(with the exaust mani cracked...) and full interior! How come you get only 1second less, with a monster with 180hp? Its more the 40hp diference!! [:s]

1/4 is really very technique dependant. Daljsd has got 15.1sec and regular 15.2's with a 1.8 kr 16v. (He got 158bhp at stealth's rollers).

GVK, hand over the keys at the next santa pod event! ;)

I did have slicks, but i don't think they really benefited me on the 1/4 as they can'r get hot enough - span through 1st and 2nd [:^(]

I did a 15.3 with the 2.0 standard, standard flywheel, standard clutch, no quaife ATB etc....

I'd imagine Daljsd and Gurds could get mine well into the 14 second barrier without much effort.

Tubs, both yours and Gary's cars are capable of 14sec 1/4s. But it is very hard on the clutch and cv joints.
