My 50mm item is now coming off the car, GVKs test prove that its not worth it on that state of tune.
42mm for me now , handy i have a polished one in the garage. I agree that really we need same day and sam engine temp and fuel to test, but without testing on different heads and different cams e.g. A car like IanBs or Grahams i am not sure if we can apply the same results to any car.

Varible inlet sounds interesting but if the 50mm only gains 1 bhp on GVKs car is it worth bothering to make one
Also where abouts in the rev range do you want it to switch over looking at the graphs all i can see is 6200 which makes it pointless. ( I am not exactly sure how the schrick items works tho )

Thats not to say that if there is any modern cars that could be robbed for donur parts they could perhaps work better , but due to pulse tuning it could be hit and miss. Wonder if there is any honda or ford stuff that could fit ?

Agreed Tris, maybe a small manifold would kill engines with the big Schrick cams.

Just a little question. I don't know how the K-JET can de-tune, so, is it possible that your car got out of tune between RR? How much time has it passed by!?
The air filter full of dirt could do a nasty side effect, and some other things, right?

From the plots i say the ABF with 50mm, K-Jet and 183bhp is the best combo out there  [:D] [:D]

Prof, as far as I know the A reg was a 2 litre 9A to quote Graham "An old scrap block" 276s, 50mm , TSR 4 branch, a head that had been skimmed "a few times" No doubt it had a TSR 'thing' fitted too

Tub, all very well comparing these graphs and coming up with the assumption that one set up is better than the other, but lets face it, if one car was beside the other, on the back straight at Donny, there's going to be very little in it. ;)

Velly, been thinking about this - we need to get all these 210bhp valvers on carbs that have been spoken about recently to the next 16v day ;)

So if anyone knows of anyone with a really hi-spec valver, look out for this upcoming 16v rr day... :)
