got them of a bloke in Newmarket, he had them on his mk1 but took them off for a set of RA's. The white wheels are Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2's

Well Sunday started out kinda slow because I wanted to start at 8 but found out the work shop didn't open untill 10[:x] so I started to take out the dash while waiting
    [IMG]
    then out
    [IMG]
after the work shop opened I got the golf up on a lift drained the coolant then moved to the back of the car to take off the rear bumper and was meet with a stripped bolt. Luckly I had access to a bolt extractor so all was right again. When I finnally got the rear bumper off I found this
    [IMG]
was quite pleased with the few small areas that need attention

it took me about an hour or so to change the heater matrix because I forgot about the 2 bolts on the firewall holding the heater matrix box on[8(]. Then the dash went back in, still need to realign some vents but it's now nice and warm in my car. After I got the dash back in...mostly I moved on to the front bumper. Got the old big bumper off changed the light bulbs over the had to wire up the indicators, with that done I slid the bumper on, lined up the holes, got the front bolts in but the back one just wouldn't reach the threads.[:s] After about an hour of fighting with the bolts and trying to find longer ones, I lowered the car to the ground, jacked up the front cross member, pushed up on the bumper and the bolts went right in:clap:.
So now this is how she looks.

Anyone have a drivers wing(preferably black) for sale?
Just need to fit the 16v front spliter I got from Stu and I'll be happy, well that and fix my indicator stalk so the high beams come on.

I do like the way they look at the back of the roof but my golf should have it on the wing. Does anyone know the correct palce for the ariel on the back of the roof?

Thanks for the comments guys. I do prefer the small bumpers as well. As for the wheels it took me at least 6 months to find a set for sale and then to find a set close and cheap, I couldn't believe my luck. Next thing on my list is hopefully found and should be shipped from home in the next month or so.;)

I flipping well could not believe your luck either![:x]

It's a good job you're a SSON, you SSOD, or I would have gazumped you.

I hope you are still searching for more R8s?;)

    DAD

ps. You don't need an aerial if you chuck the radio, speakers and wiring! That will save about 3 kg, and reduce your 0-60 time by a good microsecond or so!

The part number for the rubber grommet in the wing is:

    443 821 169 or 443 821 169 01C - Satin Black

Don't worry Dad I'm still on the look out for a set for you;) I'm not sure what gazumped means but it doesn't sound good so I'm glad I don't have to worry abut that.

As for the radio, I enjoy music on my 30 min drive to work each day so I'm gonna have to keep the speakers ect, but I mostly listhen to my iPod so I guess I could get rid of the ariel all together. Thanks for the part number but there's already on there:thumbup:

Good luck finding a wing - a lot of them are rotten down in the front corner, but you never know... If you find a good one in the wrong colour, grab it anyway!

@ Daved If you'd be happy with 14" Ronals, I think my dad has some 14" audi ones left over from when he used to rally a nova (car now rolled into a ball and sat round the side of his house for the last few years).

One mod you do need is one of these!

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/mk1-mk2-mk3-g...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item20b5341eef

Rarer even than a Mk1 Golf Ball!;)

Also, a proper rubber gear lever gaiter!!!!

@Mike_H: Thanks for the offer. When I do get around to fitting the 4 stub hubs, from the rear of the 90Q, I shall make them 4 x 100 as well as the original 4 x 112. Thing is Mike. I can't afford to buy anything in case some 15" R8s or another driver's seat come up for sale. I already have the lightened 14" P-Slots and some 7 x 15 - 4 x 112 lightened Speedlines. I am commited to buying the lathe off Brian.G as well!
