Hi guys im part way through an abf conversion and im missing some bits.
On the abf ecu theres a vacuum connection as there is no pipe on it should i cap it off? its used for ignition timing isnt it?
On the inlet throttle body theres a few connections for pipes. Theres a small one thats been capped off and a much larger one next to it what connects to these? its just above where the main rubber elbow connects. Also I have a 23mm mastercylinder think it was off an abs fitted car, i have my 8v digi servo and i've read people use spacers to fit the.master but i tried the.master in the servo and it fits fine whats anyones idea on this?

    thanks

Needs a pipe on the ECU as it has an internal map sensor, the pipe needs to be a specific length, a search on here should help.

The larger one on the throttle body is for the evap canister on mk3s, that can be blanked off.

Not sure on the m/c question, mc.

Oh right so thats what its for damn misery! Well i was doing some reading about the vacuum and it connects on the manifold. Now as its an old ecu on later engine i might have a problem but there is the small pipe next to evap so ecu vacuum hopefully be long enough and not shut off before the butterfly. fingers crossed I will search now thanks mate

I did alot of googling and found it to be 1m in length and I checked my manifold and found the ecu connection.
I have another question, what cage do people use the fit there ecu's in the plenum chamber? thanks

seat toledo one is straight fit but theres nowhere for the TCI unit to go, on mine i have chopped up a mk2 cage till the ecu goes in but its not so pretty! I have another one I chopped up and welded for a better fit but I need to finish this off

I managed to get the Mk2 Golf/SEAT ecu cage for the ABF Digifant 3 a few years back. Cant remember where I found the info, but I got this from the SEAT dealers in Worcester. As RJ says it's Toledo but this one has the bracket for the TCI unit! :)
It just so happens I took the ecu out a few days ago.

i just fitted a 23mm ABS M/C to my mk2 abf with a 9" mk2 servo, it fits other than the unions in the M/C are bigger, but i replaced all my brake lines anyway so just fitted bigger unions.

the 2 pipes from M/C only go as far as the 2 t-pieces on bulkhead, rather than trying to put new ends on the VAG steel lines, its probably easier to just change the lines up to the t-pieces.

brake pedal feels amazing and right at the top on 288mm mk3 brakes.

Old thread I know, but before I start fabricating something, I'm guessing the Seat ABF ECU bracket is long since discontinued...
If possible, would someone confirm or post part number so I can check.... thanks

yeah been NLA for years. its basically a flat plate and ecu sits on top, with a bit poking up vertically for tci to bolt to. easy enough to make, just make sure you move the ecu over enough so it clears the bonnet hinge
