Hi guys Looking forward to being a part of the forum. I have a very special mk5 GTI edition 30. Had her a little while now, and have done some nice choice mods. I bought her from a true VW enthusiast, great guy. He made me pass an interview to purchase the car...lol. Well I passed, and the pristine Reflex silver low mileage 2 door manual high spec car became mine. It has been nearly a year and I have done lots of work to her. Hope to post some pictures in due course. Always wanted a GTI. My late father bought a brand new 2 door silver mk2 GTI, sunroof car,on pirelli P alloys from Benfield motors Newcastle. As an 8 year old lad I was smitten. On arriving on that sunny morning April the first 1985, seeing my dad's new GTI waiting for our collection, is a moment that will live with me forever. That red trimmed GTI grill against the gleaming silver paint was magnificent. Roll on approx 35 years later and I finally get my GTI. It had to be silver for me, as a nod to my fathers very special mk2 GTI. Damien.
Lovely, will get to see it at some point - Trying to fix up with Chris at VGS a date to come up and upgrade the brakes on the mini beast. Covid permitting we may get to meet up for lunch yet!
