Some Audi super touring parts you probably haven't seen in isolation, from my stash of parts. Not really, they are narrow, and quite thin, but nothing too radical there.

They appear to be Clevite bearings, but they are a brand name for Mahle in America as I understand. i have a few sets of Clevite bearings that I had shipped with my Pankl rods that I intend to use for my kitcar engine.

They seem to have back coating, not unlike many race engine bearings.

Few words from Mahle's web site, specifically on their H spec bearings that seem to be the NASCAR Clevite spec

    • H-Series bearings were developed primarily for use in NASCAR type racing, but are suitable for all types of competition engines
    • Medium level of eccentricity, high crush and rod bearings have a hardened, steel back and thin overlay
    • Made without flash plating for better seating
    • If you aren't sure which type of performance bearing to start with, the H-Series bearing will be your best choice

Few more parts. MTK flat slide ITB's, an early alloy inlet manifold and a nice carbon fibre later one, also fitted with MK3 kitcar Inlet trumpets. .........and another.

Here is a picture of the combustion chamber of a STW 16v cylinder head I have, I believe this is a Step 5 head, so probably around 285bhp? The valves are Del West Titanium with a 5mm stem, the seats are beryllium copper and the springs are a single tapered design to suit the lift on the cams of around 15>16mm.

Tapered springs on exhaust side for 14 mm lift cams
Inlet is 14 > 15.7 mm lift and use long parallel springs as also the valves have longer stems

1999 Swedish ERX round: This was the last European round attended by Swede Olle Arnesson. Here the four times European champion is flying his 4-doors Audi 80 Competition T16 4x4 over the famous Höljes jump. The car was originally raced by Italian Emanuele Pirro in the 1994 German SuperTouring series. As the 80 Competition was homologated for SuperTouring it was eligible for Rallycross also.

Just stumbled across this thread and have really enjoyed reading it. I thought those who have posted might be interested in this video from the Bongo Hillclimb event this year. At 11:00 minutes there is a 2.0 NA ex British Touring car Audi A4. It sounds amazing!
