That manifold is pure sex wee, but the price makes me cry!!! Would love a tubular equal length one for my other car, but i cant quite stretch to that price
aye... you lot know me too well. more to be added yet. Will see what it does to the power. bigger single plenum manifold combined with 75mm throttle body coming next week as step 2, in next step, then my special grind catcams in step 3. I'll stop then. Probably. Suspension package is next, widetrack. Got phat wings on front for it now (+70mm per side) so no issues of clearance now ready.
wings sound interseting ? got any pics ? is the car still road legal bill ? alot off questions but interested , still remember seeing it at a rr day and thinking 200bhp was too much lol !
Spec is: 83mm JE pistons, stock crank, Eurospec rods, big port head, supertech race valves, supertech race valve springs, stock cams, dual plenum inlet manifold (to be replaced next as I think its restrictive), baffled seat sport sump, external oil cooler, larger FMIC, aquamist (not using it currently, not allowed within combe regs), 3" DP, equal length tubular manifold, hybrid turbo based on TD06-20g, 3" turbo intake, big MAF housing, large Green Cotton airfilter. Mapped on stock ecu by james @ Custom Code (www.custom-code.co.uk) *maybe forgotten something caviat.
not got any pix of wings.. will take some when I get a mo. its road legal... and driven to the race yesterday and back home again.. Not many manage that.
cool ! would love to see updated pics of the car , bet you can have some fun with saxos on the way to the race also
pix just snapped this afternoon. (drizzling here) Before is on the spare ibiza which donated its front wings for the wide-arch project. and in paint, which has'nt turned into being the right shade, so may be visited in due course. (low down in my priority list however)
yeh dude that it cool , did you do it al yourself ? looks a good job , paint don't look quite right be like you said im sure you have many other things to do first . and a spare ibiza ! man you make me giggle
see steve today. said he remembers ur ****ing quick seat at combe. he also said you could drive it to, coming from steve, big respect. steve knows a good driver when he sees one. he competed in the dutch saloon championship for fun, in a m3 race car his mate just built at a cost of 130 grand, and he came first. hes got another race coming up, ill keep you posted. hes finishing my car in 2 days, so im hoping for good figures. steves done all the work on it, except for the emerald ecu that i will have to get mapped. good luck for your up and coming races. john
all my own work (with some rubbing down help from MrsB) paint match is abysmal. dunno why as last time the same place mixed some up it was perfect (spats were painted before and perfect)
Cool... give my regards to Steve.. and hope he continues to do so well. he's racing & building some pukka kit. Respect back at him.
yea. and even more grinding.. pix are being kind.. not so pretty close up as I was rushed in the end. more pix below:
Bill, I know you were looking at the Full Race mani http://www.full-race.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=21_97&products_id=304 (think I saw a few Q's on Vortex or something.) What made you go for this one in the end? There's is $1200 which gives you a lot of change to tart up, ceramic coat and fab a DP. Is the build quality so much better? Did you ever see one in the flesh or speak to someone with one?
