    So 10 races in all. I knew it was a busy-ish c/ship.

Can you miss rounds / are there dropped scores?

25th March is a closed meeting I believe due to some MSA rule which means any new organising club (Combe have split from BRSCC) has to run one meeting closed shop, no paying customers, to prove they are capable. (same staff as before so that should be a no brainer you'd think)

Pit crew and support are fine tho ;)

Not read anything in the regs about dropped scores, maybe missed it as I dived into technical regs to carry on ibiza modding.

We visit Combe this year. I've heard it's fast and bumpy!

I'll try and make it along to some of your events.

Well if hes not already I thimk he may be at season end! ;)

Bill was gunna ask I guess Combe is fairly local to you? but all races at the same track- would you not have prefered to travel round the country a bit more? or was there perhaps no easy series to slot your car spec into?

    I reckon so...... [:D]

The site of the yellow Ibiza as a spec in the mirror is normally followed by the use of an indicator & politely moving out the way in B6 [:$]

I never previously considered Combe that bumpy, but the new motor in the car on road tyres has changed my mind 110%
The spec of suspension I am working on now is specific to deal with Combes bumps... and quite akin to road spec to be honest. Its pretty fast.. with an approach up Avon rise into the infamous quarry at 145mph in mine. minimal run off, so accidents will more than likely result in serious damage.. (which scares the poo out of me to be honest in race terms)
I can lap pretty well time wise, but the leap from wannabie think I am fast track driver on track days to pukka racing is something that makes me very aprehensive about. Race one I will be kakking myself no doubt. [:s]

Technically Combe should'nt be advertising it, as its is supposed to be closed meeting to meet MSA rules. (despite it being all the same people organising it this year to last) - Rules eh!

I think its a bit of a grey area

Combe is my local track yes.. and easier for me to drag it back home from in the event of breakage etc. Seemed like a good series which I have a chance of being competetive in, given my road car times round there over the years vs the race winning times this year by a dominant 450bhp Keith Murray a4 quattro.

Other tracks appeal for sure, but this is 1st year so am toe dipping locally.

Regs of other c'ships (and other costs) also tailor what I can and cant do. To modified for some as a road car, too much to modify for others ()

give it a go and see how I like it (or not)

car will remain road registered for the crack.
