Thanks for your comments. The respray cost 900 but was done by a good local bodyshop. The car was only going to have the front & backend resprayed but they insisted to do both sides aswell to make a better job. The only areas which haven't been touched are: the roof, engine bay and inside door recesses.
They quoted me 2000 for a full respray a year ago so I'm really pleased with 900.

The car is a 91 Gti running a mk3 2ltr 8v but at some point I would like to replace that with a abf lump either on carbs or charger, but I'll have to wait and try and convince the wife as I've spent a small fortune on it so far - might even put my cost sheet up to view.

Ouch but what a gorgeous looking car !! But about a 1/3 of what i spend on my RB powered 200sx it is good to keep all the receipts for when you sell but just dont add them up

I like the half smoked

Yeah i was thinking the blue would be a bit too much - it was basically between the half tinted or m3 style ones.

Sorted most the interior out at the weekend - Recaros, rear carpeted turrets, rear door cards fitted and first aid kit.
Front door cards still to fit but had been modified by previous owner from electric windows to manual, a hole was cut out for the winder and the material had frayed, my only option to save the doorcards was to cut out a bigger hole, i seen a thread on here where corrado electric switches have been fitted to the door so i gave it ago. Might need to trim the door with my trusted dremel. Door cards will be cleaned before fitting aswell.

Chuck the whole one touch loom in from a Corrado while you're at it.

Live to live, earth to earth and ign live to ignition live, it's pretty easy as long as you don't pop a fuse like I did :)

RJ posted up the diagrams so you can see exactly where to plug things.
