I live in that area but my Mk2 wouldn't be described as nice (unless it's from a distance)
Where on A down rd do you work Dan? I'm up & down there a lot & have never spotted your car

Matt - yeah I'm up the north side, though more Southmead/Westbury than Patchway.

The red Rallye looks the part, though I've not gone peering under the arches - left hooker and all the usual guff - enough to fool the amateur at least.

It's RichG60's he is, in theory, the regional host for Bristol. He doesn't often use the forum & last time I spoke to him wasn't a member any more

Any of you guys fancy meeting up sometime?
There is the "official" CGTI meet at the Lamb & Flag, first tues of the month iirc, but I've been a few times & found them a bit clicky.
There seems to be a few of us around north Bristol so Glos rd might be an idea.

    Any interest?

There's a well nice pub up on the badminton road that's VW friendly (especially roccos[8D] ) - nice big car park, and Food is top nosh too. I know it's a bit of a haul out of town, but we had a couple of rocco-meets there a few years back, so as long as we don't scare off the regulars, I'm sure the landlord wouldn't mind a few more petrolheads through the doors..

Not wanting to sound like an old fart, but we need to pick our venue carefully, as a gathering of petrolheads in the wrong place could quickly descend into a saxo chav-fest with section 59's issued to all and sundry[8(]

But, yeah, I'm well interested in an 'alternative' bristol meet :)
