got a bit of a weird one ,I always keep the tank half full and I filled it up last week and the fuel gauge wet to empty so I did a few more miles and it suddenly changed to 3/4 and the low fuel warning sign cam on and stayed on,checked the gauge with vcds and the readings are correct, still got the refuel sign on,any ideas, thanks

can only think the clocks have gone, since readings in VCDS are correct? maybe unplug the cluster for 30 seconds or so see if they reset

    WOW George.

Common one would be a DQ250. However there will be a bit more required to get it to work with an engine ECU that is a generation older than the gear box module.
I know not to doubt your skills though.

I'm no expert on the various DSG boxes, but once you find one I can get you a diagram no problem

^^The diagram is not a problem. Plenty of us have those. It is the integration of the system to work with an old engine controller (ME7).
