If VW adopted a Renault Sport system / format then I may be interested ... or is there a similar link with VW Racing ?
Renault build quality can be shocking at time parts don't last as well though engines a handling are light years ahead of vw if you don't mind having to fix the Renault when things need doing go I'd say you are right Andrew probably a small price to pay though they are not nice to look at

Has production for these finished now? I hear the MK7 production has stopped ready for the new face-lift version? Be a shame if they only ran production on the CS for a year or so, i know previous models its been easily around 2 years for special editions.
Production has stopped for both. All CSS flew off the shelves. There are a few CS in stock at dealers round the country.
Quick question, has anyone on here bought one of the southern irish golf clubsports and been able to get a plaque from VW UK. I am in the market for a club sport and have been chatting to one dealer ship and he says he has a letter from VW UK saying they have the same 3 year warrentary and is pretty certain that the plaque can be sourced as well as they are the last 3 digits of the vin number. Any one look into this already and get a result, I did do with contacting VW UK customer services but they could not get round the fact they were imported from southern ireland and that plaques existed for the club sports. Great spec car for the money, but a little bit of doubt with resale in a few years. If anyone can shed light on this please let me know. As there has been at least 20 already sold ,but too forum members may be another matter.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I was under the impression that the clubsport wasn't sold in limited numbers? I know someone in Dublin with a clubsport and don't recall it having a plaque. The clubsport S on the other hand was limited to 150 cars and does have a plaque.
Hi Neil, the UK ones have a plaque as I am also looking a UK spec one and is number 105. To my knowledge it is a Uk only numbered plaque. There is a few threads around from searching and there is no evidence so far that any one has done this. I did get a guys name who is on a VW forum but which one is any one's guess and don't want too go calling his name out over the forum. The dealer said that they can be got,and I could not get through to Dale in VW UK who had sorted my mk5 ed30 plaque in the past. Maybe over thinking the situation but when there is 28k on it want to take the correct route.
