Do you want to run 4std or 5std wheels, 5 std is better but you can use a 4std fitment on a 5std flange[:s] [:s]

You sit on the fence then

If your going to go 5std then you use 16v front bubs and fit a 5 std flange with one of these behind the flange before it goes into the bearing
    ?

    fits like this
    ?

    and does this
    ?

This is the reason, the 5std flange is machined further towards the flange
    ?

Then you can use the bigger CVs and even run wide track front arms, or for that matter use VR front hubs without the messing about.

These pics will self destruct in 5 mins so copy them it you want:lol:

I knew youd be awkward and ask :lol:fit the 5std flange in the 16v hub as described but re-drill the 5std flange to 4std and have the new holes tapped out (prefer to drill out tap and helicoil) basically alter the 5std flange to a 4std externally but it will accept the larger CV [:s]

I predict all thoughts of 6speed will now be forgotten, and he will be happy with the mk3 16v box and 4stud fitment :p

im getting on quite well now.

Just fitting up a new cambelt and tensioner then putting the lump back in later today hopefully.

Painted the engine bay, got my brakes all fitted up with new discs and pads all round, just need to connect up the 22mm master cylinder.

Im going to be using the oem management so i can run 225 brake reliably. Then its saving up time again for a LSD and possible REVO/APR/woteva remap!!
