DIY engine stand

    So I'm fed up of mauling with engines on one of my cluttered benches or a pallet [:s]

    I therefore decided to build an engine stand this afternoon :thumbup:spent an hour and did this [:D]

    Look at the precision fit ! The close tolerances ! The smooth grinding ! The metal cleaned before welding !

    It's a flippin engine stand doesn't need to be precise just strong to hold an engine ;)

    I think it needs a longer locking bolt too. lol

    I mean, why use a simple pin you can drop in to lock the rotation ? Surely rooting for a spanner and trying to nip up a bolt whilst the engine is trying to turn is much easier. [​IMG]

    Micky, that big round thing on the forklift truck. Is that so you can make a billet flywheel for your VW Golf RE2000 ????

    That's the 1t 2nd fly wheel off one of my machines that I'm having to fix instead of golfing [:x]

    No my planes are two and four stroke sorry lol I've got a biplane a50" sukoy acrobatic and a super chipmunk lol
    There stashed at home not work lol
