i usually look for cgti stickers, and don't normally bother if they haven't got one.

If the car looks looked after they might get a nod or a wave.. if it's some scrote in a neglected, battered old Gti then I don't bother.

The myth that all dubbers are `friendly` is bullsh*t IMO.

On the odd occasion I have bothered to acknowledge another VW all I`ve had is blank stares and ignorance.

I do wave or flash, but find only Mk2s bother returning. Don't usually get much response from newer ones. I don't think they realise how privileged they are to have a Dub

Always they don't normally expect it from us watercooled lot though.
It started with dubs from VW's early days when VW's were rare outside of Germany, you'd wave, stop have a chat about them and head on your way because it was an uncommon occurance not because of how much better they were than everyone else.
Nowadays they're not rare so you just lookout for one's that are similar or look well looked after.

I always wave to a black mk2 16v in my area coz he's the only one that knows what he's driving
My son wound down the window once and shouted to a lady in a clean bug 'U got a nice car' and she said thanks.
But yeh i agree that the newer drivers don't realise what they are driving. i think that most of them in West London are pompus gits and they are better then us driving older cars.
