    Hello might all knowing people!

I am attempting to rescue a J Reg Mk3 8v Gti that was my grandfather's.

It like most mk3s has not fought the rust worm all that well and has a few issues with the floor pan and sills.

My question is will mk2 floor repair panels fit with a bit of persuasion as they are readily available where mk3 ones seem rarer than unicorns!

Any help or advice on rescuing the old girl will be massively appreciated.

mk3 pans are wider than mk2, but if only replacing sections of the mk3 they might work as metal donors if desperate

Thanks for the info! I might use the Mk2 pans as the base material and go from there!

I'm determined to save the old girl and embrace the challenge as i go
