I'm 39 clean licence no claims. 11yrs bonus
Got quoted 1453 on a mildly modded mk2 Jetta gl, 1990 vw autohomes kamper & a 2000 golf estate diesel.

    Shocked isn't in it!

Are you sure you got quoted on the right policy - classic multi car, with the golf diesel as the one modern vehicle?

Or do you live in a high risk area?

That's the the policy Mike H, minimum of 2 classic cars with the golf diesel as a daily driver.
I must be in the crime capital with that quote [:^(][:^(]
    The search goes on....

my renewal has just come through from FJ. 563 (330 last year) if I want to keep my existing cover of 7.5k miles or 293 for only 5k miles per annum. Anywhere else I could try?

EDIT: just spoke to FJ and apparently Club GTI members do not get any discount, can someone confirm this?

thanks for that Trev. Have you got that in email format which could be forwarded to me so I can challenge FJ on this. If I get the same woman on the phone and say "Trevor told me I should get a discount" I will get no where. Or do you have a contact name ofd a person at FJ who knows what they are talking about?

Just renewed with FJ as they seemed the cheapest - I havent had an accident yet so thats a testing time.
I have noticed that the driving other cars at third party extension has been removed.
I called up and the bint said it would be in main car policy - but this is my main car :s
She said FJ's underwriters have removed this extension from July 2012, anyone else know of this?

This was useful as I can drive my dads Micra when hes had too many to drink lol

Policies are getting cheaper (in terms of what you get) I've noticed that I can't get driving other vehicles and the mileage is measly compared to what I used to pay and get. You got to pay a lot more to get a decent policy now [8(]

Footman James didn't get my money or praise this times. 200.00 dearer than my first two quotes. I refuse to pay 530.00 for a policy I might only use for a few times during the summer months. Let's face it there's not many in the uk. My ride probably won't move for the next 3 months as she's having work done to bring her back to former glory. Can anyone suggest any other companies who can offer a policy at half that price.

    Thanks

    Cabbs
