Right got a strange problem with my 06 mk5 gti. I pull the washer stalk towards me to wash the front screen and for some reason I get the rear wash wipe function instead. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Any help much appreciated John
When you open the bonnet, check the washer hose that runs along the left hand hinge. I strongly suspect it will have cracked and is leaking all your washer fluid out. VW sell a repair kit that includes one way valves etc. That is what I used to repair it but after 2-3 years mine has cracked again.
Check to see if they aren't blocked ,I usually use a dress making pin to clear them,if they are ok and your hose isn't broken or crimped over you may have a bad switch,cheers.
