I need to remove the alternator for access so we can stick a plate on inner timing cover which can then be fixed onto the head. My inner timing cover is a bit chewed at the top and the little lug for securing is gone. Small plate will be spot welded or riveted on. Removing the alternator seems best source of access for this. Can someone give me a quick run down for removal n tightening of the belt etc
