    Hello,
So after wasting months with pierburg I decided to buy brand new weber dmtl 32/34.
The problem is that mixture is running too rich. Also when accelerating I feel that it goes wrong and slow. I tried to turn screw and make it leaner, but even if I turn it all to the end its still too rich. Bought weber kit for 1.6 engine, so jets should be right. Carb ir new and never used, so what more can cause it running so rich??

My Weber was running very rich at first (1.3). I think it still is but it's better since adjusting the timing. Have you checked that?

No, I haven't touched timing yet. Could it really affect mixture?

As I understand it it affects the way the fuel is used in the engine, so in a way, yes. However, you need to adjust your mixture once your timing is adjusted. I hope others will weigh in as well.

Ok, I will try to check that first. Any more ideas besides timing?
