Evening All, I have recently had the head off my MK2 golf GTi 8v digifant and the following carried out: Replaced oil valve seals Replaced tappets All parts, where required, were lubricated with oil when replacing those parts The engine starts however there is smoke coming from the engine (from the filler cap) and the tappets are quite loud. Any thoughts or help would be appreciated Cheers Jack
Tappets might need a while to "pump up". What's your oil pressure like? Seals are easily damaged during installation, what did you fit them with?
