Really should not have replied should i ?

Hell i dont even drive a polo.

    Saying that.

Who in there right mind would try and "race" a polo? The last polo i had did 60 in 18 seconds +....

    OK

But to be fair, it was an aweful aweful slow car.

Saying that compared to my last mk3 GTi. It never broke down once, did 50 + mpg and cost about 2 pounds fifty to insure. No thats cool, of course any car can be fast ffs look at peugeot 205 - looks like you did a sh*t in the road and put wheels on it but the 1.9 gti is clocking a 0-60 in 7.5 seconds. Im sure you get fast polo;s but for the love of mary = this guy said standard polo.

I will stop the talking now yes ?>

    Oh god here we go.

I formally apologise, i never meant to insult polo owners. I simply stated my experiance with the low spec 1.0 liter type jobbies was pathetic. Thats it. Really cant be battered to get into a ridiculous childish flame war.

I'll leave that to the children.

I do not even know what a G40 is, but im sure its very fast after all polo is quite a light shell.

I'm really not going to follow this up.

    Toodles!

lol my frind has a 1.0 litre mk4 polo although i would describe it as nippy, its the slowest thing i have ever driven lol

altho i wheel spun it (but i only did this because the driver couldnt do it lol and i had to show him my excelent driving skillz ;))

must say have never had a ride in a g40 would like to see just how quick they are i mean i know there quick but nothing beas expiriencing it first hand

plus the superchager sound would be nice [:D]

    i used to have a 1.4 8v mk4 polo. it was slow as f*ck.

    i've now got a mk3 G40. & its quite ridiculous.

massively under-estimated by most ppl IMO.

mines running 131bhp, which equates to about mk3 golf VR6 speed when u work it out in power to weight.

    heres a cool video:

my girlie's got a grenn mkIV polo 1.6...wasn't her by the way...her's is standard. not a rocketship, but its a nice torquey engine as is good for her (she's a slow driver and doesn't like to drop gears - so good low end pull helps!).

lol. I reckon a 131bhp g40 would scare the tits off a vr driver below 80. Ive driven a standard one and they feel well quick, quicker than something like a 16v clio Ive driven for instance.

lol. its the crazy music that does it for me!

it belongs to Karl, one of the guys who runs Pitstop Developments. not sure of the spec but I think it was running a 58mm pulley at the time (blown chargers ahoy!).
