Just bought the 150 pc as well as an early gift to myself as the golf never seems to work for more than a week without needing to be in pieces
Either ring up customer services or go into a store and get them to order you one in. (It's a company called Durneher that actually supply them)
My first socket set was a 30 (fifty piece i think) that i bought around 7-8 years ago. The only thing that i had problems with were the pliers which were pants even when brand new and the rachet which was never the best either, but what can you expect for thirty notes?? All the sockets are still going strong and seem as good as most of the other sockets iv had over the years. Also ive got some of the professional stuff as well (torx drivers, spline keys,a few screwdrivers and my top cabinet is also halfords pro) and apart from a knackered drawer which was my own fault on the cab they have all been spot on.
flexi head rachet spanners? if so the same set i got. will probably get more of their stuff when i get round to affording some!
I have the 150 kit. Bargain of the century when i got it for 99 only broke 2 items, snapped a allen socket and twisted the long 1/2" Extension (2 Blokes, 2 scaffolding bars on a T, and a stubborn hub nut...... before u ask) Both replaced no quibbles. Really handy kit. But bear in mind the catches on the case tend to break and they arnt covered by the warranty I wouldnt use anything else.
I was told they were as on the new cases they are a seperate part - designed this way so they don't have to keep replacing the whole thing!
I bought some set for 90 iirc around 6 years ago, still going strong, have built up a nice collection of their tools now, will treat myself to some new ratchet spanners in the new year though as the mac ones i have keep falling to bits
So... to clarify... Is it 68 with the trade card? [] If so, which generous so-and-so in South Wales is going to help me buy myself a Christmas present with their trade card?
i've noticed that the sockets seem to wobble about a bit (10 degrees either way) on the extension bar. my king dick ones dont. still for 99quid and a lifetime guarantee its well worth the money
They're meant to do that to help keep the socket on the head. You can push them on further to stop it though. I can't fault my 150pcs set. For a 100 i'd recommend to anyone.
it dont feel right to me somehow, and theres a chamfer on the inside face of the 6 point sockets. seems to be less forgiving
thats in the design of the sockets, its supposed to allow for slight damage of bolt heads, and it also apparently reduces damage and grips better as theres supposed to be more surface area. I used to diss the tools till i got the industrial roller cab for 250 it came with 150 piece socket set, the spanner set, screwdriver set and they threw the votex socket set in too as im a regular for parts in there have to say the votex kit is fantastic just a shame its max range is 19mm. As the sockets dont have a back on them they are great for doing suspension and other nuts with extra long bolts the other good thing with that set is that the sockets are bi hex head and the actual sockets are slimmer than usual so get in to tighter spots better than normal thick walled ones. Top kit finally from the biggest rip off company around!!
