I am about to start a rolling restoration of a mk2 gti 8v 5 door . Will be hopefully removing the engine and gearbox in February giving it a strip and clean then rebuild it and hopefully be back on road driving for mid March time. Will be giving the underneath a good update replacing a few components then onto the interior and finish off with bodywork+full respray. Got couple years plan for this to get back to a decent standard so should be an enjoyable experience.
