Thought i'd do a car update. Since the last post I've...

Delocked the doors with rear handles off a 5 door
    Got the alarm working
Had a new window motor and regulator mechanism fitted
Painted and fitted 2 new wing mirrors
    Repaired the boot lock
    Fitted plasma glow backlit dials
    Fitted TT pedals
Fitted leather gear gaiter embroded 'GTI 16V'
    Fitted leather handbrake and console
Had all the welding on the rear quarter done
    Fitted German plates
Fitted a working ABS/Airbag light module
Replaced Airbag slipring and cleared airbag fault
Replaced both rear ABS sensors and cleared all ABS faults (now fully working woohoo!)
Replaced ECU and Fuel pump relays
    Replaced coolant temp sensor
Replaced dizzy cap and rotor arm
    Replaced vac hoses
    Fitted Blitzchip
Fitted a full set of red Magnecor leads (Just over 100 yikes!)
    Had engine compression tested
    Had new windscreen fitted.
    Replaced standard speakers for Sony
Ripped out all the old alarm, immobiliser and hands free kit wiring!
Fitted Sony MEX-BT5000 Bluetooth wireless CD / MP3, handsfree phone kit head unit.
Installed Fusion 1200W amplifier and 12" Fusion subwoofer
Fitted a specific grounding kit with red wiring and gold plated connectors

In the spare room I have still to fit..

Full powerflex bush kit for entire car
silly cap things to fix heat shields
Set of mk4 style rear badges 'GOLF' '2.0' '16V'
    Mk4 style clear headlights
HID xenon kit with 8000 kelvin bulbs
Red felt to retrim roof lining
New front panel inc radiator, bumper support bar, air con rad and 2 fans
    Front engine mount
    Gearbox mount
    New door hinges
    MK4 steering wheel
    MK4 gear knob

Then all I have to do is get the painting finished, have the seats retrimmed red and black leather, get new carpets, complete air con upgrade, have wheels refurbed.

Then it's time for the fun stuff like a complete stainless system inc. manifold and sports cat, have the head ported and gas flowed stage 3. Followed by an Eaton M62 for full whiny ABF fury mwuhahahaha!!!

Jesus, just looked back at this list and the lists of the stuff I done when I first got it.. This car has had some serious work done in the 7 months I've owned her!!! :o :o :o

Full leather black colour concept interior with heated front seats
    Fitting full interior carpets
    Gearbox mount
    Front engine mount
    Chrome door pulls
Sony ipod kit for head unit
    Mk4 gear knob

I've also refitted all my heat shields, fixed my alarm proximity sensor.

Tidy job that, but please don't fit Mk4 badges. They look awful. :)

Yeah they look good but are a bit big. I've been putting off sticking them on because i'm a bit scared it would make it look like a fake 16v rather than a genuine one. I think i'm going to get some new standard badges, old ones were battered

If you are going for a smooth look, I'd take the badges off. If you are trying to get it to look OEM+, buy some new ones. They'll freshen it up a treat. :)

Aye it's got no badges on it and i've smoothed the rear panels under the brake lights into the wing. Looks far too bare, i'll get some original badges for it
